Nose Job Facts

A prospective patient’s face needs to reach skeletal maturity ,be fully formed  before they can get a nose job.
For girls, this is generally ages 14 or 15 at the earliest. Since boys’ faces grow a little slower, age 15 is the minimum for males. But obviously, skeletal maturity varies from patient to patient.
Know that rhinoplasty isn’t going to miraculously change your life. If you’re doing it because you think you’re going to get a better job, or a new boyfriend or girlfriend, or because your marriage is falling apart, that’s not a reason to get a rhinoplasty.
The person who should not have a rhinoplasty is the person who cannot find a suitable nose that they want on the face.
Find the right doctor that you are comfortable with.
Manage your expectations. You will not have the perfect nose or look exactly like the person of your choice. Be realistic.
Take your time recovering and don't rush the process , listen to your doctor.
Rhinoplasty surgeries are not cheap. Make sure you can afford one without being left broke.

The Do's and Don'ts of Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is an investment. Literally speaking, you are investing money into your appearance. It’s also an investment of time and energy.
Cosmetic surgery procedures increases satisfaction rates, and most patients are thrilled with their results for many years after surgery. However, it’s important to understand that your results require maintenance to stay in shape, and that nothing can fully stop the effects of aging, lifestyle habits, and genetics.
The great news is that there are some things you can do to successfully maintain your results for years to come! Here are some tips and tricks on how to maintain your surgery,

1. A healthy diet & regular exercise are key

Body contouring procedures can transform your curves, providing a more pleasing  look. While the results may seem magical, the look you see now can only last if you remain at a healthy weight. For instance, fat removal procedures such as liposuction will permanently get rid of targeted fat cells, but if you gain weight, you will see it in other areas as remaining fat cells expand.

2. Good skin practices make a big difference now and later

Immediately after your procedure, proper care makes a big difference in scarring. And as time goes by, great skin care will help your results look as good or better than ever.
First off, scarring is a necessary aspect of many surgeries and while your surgeon will take care to place your incisions where they can be most easily hidden, making sure they heal and fade nicely over time is partially in your hands. Be sure to protect your incisions in the sun, keep the area clean, and use the topical scar care creams and ointments recommended by your doctor.
Good skin care is so helpful. Even if you have an existing skincare routine, it’s best to ask about your products and see if you should adjust anything going forward.
Most importantly, follow your surgeon’s aftercare instructions.

3. Healthy habits inside & out

What you put in and on your body not only impacts your surgical results, it can make a huge difference in your overall health. Be honest with your surgeon about your lifestyle habits. Let him or her know if you smoke, how much you drink, any medications you are on, and even what supplements or vitamins you use both internally and externally. Your surgeon will let you know the steps you should take to prepare for surgery and what to avoid to ensure your results are as perfect as can be.

If you are considering a cosmetic surgery procedure, find a certified cosmetic surgeon in your area.

Loving my Body

I got the chance to talk about myself.
I love my body and the different modifications done to it.
From my ears being pierced to my first tattoo that my best friend created for me at the age of 17, I love them all.
Being able to express myself physically and through the eyes of others makes me feel proud.
I feel entitled to the happiness that I get when I get a new piercing or tattoo.

Things&Ink Magazine

Tattoo and body modification magazines are not new, however nearly all of them are full with half naked women posing ‘seductively’ and no interesting information. Until recently.

A few years ago in 2012 Things & Ink was born and since then the world of body modification publications has changed forever and definitely for the better! The magazine has amazing real life stories and experiences, interviews with industry experts, photo shoots featuring models of all shapes and sizes and articles on anything and everything to do with the body modification world, this magazine really does have it all!
Things & Ink is refreshing new information of common misconceptions of the tattoo industry. Although mainly aimed at female readers the variety of content makes Things & Ink the ideal read for anyone interested in tattoo culture.

Body Modification STILL considered Unprofessional

It is not as acceptable as we may think.

byDianna❤️an hour ago

  1. I got the chance to do my assignment on the negativity that people with any form of body modification, including;tattoos, piercings, cosmetic surgery face in today' society.+
  2. While doing this assignment , I found myself learning about certain things I was unclear about. For instance when I discussed discrimination in the workforce being accepted and completely legal and not looked at as wrong, was a bit of a discomforting feeling.+
  3. I was proud having the chance to have a one on one with one of my close friends on this topic. Before asking Cynisha Johnson about participating I had no prior knowledge of her being discriminated based on her body modification. It was an eye opener for me and I hope it is for all of you that are tuning in.+

Tattoo aftercare

Helen gives you  in-depth ways of taking care of your new tattoos. Check it out!

Tattoo healing varies from people to people.

After getting new tattoo wait a few hours and gently dab tattoo with warm water.

After washing your tattoo rub A&D ointment or vaseline on it.

It is best to leave the tattoo and let it heal on it's own.

That was a very quick and easy way of your new tattoo/tattoos!

Make sure to check out Helen's video by clicking on the image above.
